I was born into post-WWII affluence and brought up on-stage, but as a sensitive child not completely comfortable with the world of the performing artist. I believe this is what led me to experiment with the drug culture and alternative lifestyles early on, and I lived in communes and artists' colonies before turning my life around and going back to school. At university I finished Magna Cum Laude with a teaching degree and began working in alternative secondary schools before moving on to graduate school and teaching at university. For the past sixteen years I have lived and worked abroad, teaching internationally in Russia, China and Ireland and settling in the Netherlands. 'Boulder Blues' was my first novel to receive critical acclaim but, alas, no awards as yet. I have managed to write six books in all, including a 3-part murder mystery series set in Ireland, China and Holland.
